Meet the Hosts
A PGA club pro and a sports journalist walk into a podcast studio ...
The Pro
Dennis Tuhn
Dennis Tuhn — "Tuhner" to everyone who knows him — is a longtime PGA club professional who has shaped the game on courses throughout California. Currently the director of golf at Oakdale Golf & Country Club in California's Central Valley, Dennis brings decades of on-course wisdom, player stories, and an insider's eye to every conversation.
Whether he's breaking down a swing, dissecting a tournament, or going to the mat for his beloved Dallas Cowboys, Dennis brings the kind of unfiltered expertise you only get from a career spent inside the ropes.

- Native of Gilroy, Calif.
- Studied golf course management at New Mexico State

The Pen
Brian Patrick Higgins
Brian Patrick Higgins spent years in major-market sports journalism before trading the press box for the trail. He's a California trail guide, a sports gambling entrepreneur, and the author of a warped memoir about hiking through life — equal parts adventure story and meditation on what sports teaches us about everything else.
Brian brings the storyteller's instinct to every episode — finding the angle nobody else is chasing, asking the question everyone else is afraid to ask, forever giving away the points where his Buckeyes are concerned and holding his breath (for decades) for the Cincinnati Reds to display a glimpse of the Big Red Machine of his youth.
- Former major-market sports journalist
- Author & California trail guide
- Sports gambling entrepreneur
- THE Ohio State Buckeyes devotee
- Native of Columbus, Ohio
- B.S. Journalism, Southern Illinois University
